1992 : Endowment scheme in the Tamil Nadu Council of Historical Research for the benefit of scholars created. Three Philanthropists created Endowments with Tamil Nadu Archives to deliver annual lecture for the benefit of the Research Scholars. Microfilm Reader -cum -Printer and Readers installed.

What Archives preserves contain papers documenting day today administration of the Government which include routine matters, policy decisions,introduction of schemes and papers and orders on turning points in the politico - social and economic history of the state.Among such numerous archival papers which are sources for describing the turning points in the State's history, certain documents have been selected and published here for public view and reproduced in Boxes.
