1942 : Archives records moved to Chittoor and Palmanar - (Andhra Pradesh) in view of the World WarII. Studies in Madras Administraton was published.

In G.O.No.158,Public Department, dated 03.03.1906,it was ordered that the nomenclature of "Black Town" in the then Madras(now Chennai),be changed to "George Town".
